据美国《纽约时报》最新消息，五角大楼官员表示，两天前在索马里海岸试图登船而遭意外的两名海豹突击队成员，周六仍下落不明。

报道称，这一事件发生之际，美国正在加强对也门胡塞武装的行动，以遏制他们在红海对商船的袭击。作为这些任务的一部分，美国海军和盟国一直在响应遇险呼叫。

在过去两天里，美国及其盟友袭击了也门境内与胡塞武装有关的目标，试图破坏胡塞武装的进攻能力。

《纽约时报》援引五角大楼官员们的话报道，海豹突击队成员于周四被派往索马里海岸附近的一艘可疑船只。但目前还不清楚是什么原因促使突击队员挑出这艘船进行更深入的调查。

五角大楼官员周六表示，这起事件的情况与胡塞武装或海盗的情况不同。但他们拒绝透露更多细节。

据五角大楼官员介绍，周四晚上，当海豹突击队的两名队员在波涛汹涌的海面上试图登船时，其中一名突击队员从登船梯上滑了下去，另一名队员随后跳入水中，试图营救这名队员。但两人很快就消失在波涛中。

官员们说，海军舰艇和飞机立即被派往现场，搜救工作正在进行中。美国中央司令部在周五的一份声明中提到了救援行动，但没有提到两名士兵是海豹突击队的成员，也没有提到事件的任何细节。
